A unique online mapping system specifically developed for this purpose will be used by Kidsgrove residents as part of a public consultation which will go beyond the ‘surface value’ of sports and leisure provision in Kidsgrove in order to gather data from a wide audience.

As well as providing the data and helping to better understand what sport and physical activities local people would like to access, the initiative will also help to shape future investment into key services, such as leisure facilities, parks and open spaces or other physical activities for the community. The event will bring back the much loved ‘national stalls’, celebrating the cultural diversity within our Alsager community, and a range of free craft activities and workshops including the incredible story teller, Ian Douglas and ukulele and junk percussion workshops running throughout the morning. These are free of charge and open to all ages so bring the whole family along to join the fun.

We are really pleased to be joined on the day by the team from Two Doors Studio who will be sharing their artistic skills in a range of ways- why not make a Morsbag or have a try at a fused glass art piece? We will be adding to the Alsager bunting too!

We’ve had a fantastic response to our poetry competition. Many thanks to all those who have entered. Winners will be announced at the One World Festival where we will also have a poetry exhibition of all entries in the library.

There will be plentiful tea and coffee and some great home-made cakes, so get the date in your diary and join us for another great Alsager event.
