TENANTS living on one of Newcastle’s most deprived estates are being urged to report any problems with their properties to the Borough Council.
The message to tenants on Galley’s Bank – known locally as ‘the Miners’ Estate’ – in Kidsgrove, is part of a multi-agency initiative there.

Local Councils are calling on people to act now – so they don’t lose their voice in upcoming elections.
And the message is: If you can’t vote, you haven’t got a voice.
If you are not registered, you could miss out on being able to vote in the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) election on May 5.
There will also be a national referendum on June 23, on whether or not the United Kingdom should remain in the European Union.
Polling cards have been posted to adult residents, if you have not received your polling card you should contact the Council to ensure you are registered to vote.
