Alsager Swans

swansOn Saturday 13th July, the Alsager Swans Swimming Therapy Club celebrated its 40th birthday by holding a party for members past and present at Church Lawton Memorial Hall.

Alsager Carnival 2019

Carnival 2019 copy low res 2The annual Alsager Carnival event, hosted by Alsager & District Round Table is taking place on Saturday 15th June 2019.

This year’s event will see the parade leave Asda’s car park in the town at 12 noon on its way to the main event in Milton Park where there will be food and charity stalls, performances by stunt performers, rides for the children, competitions and much more. [Read more…]

Alsager Music Festival 2019

alsager music festival logoThe most looked forward to event in the local calendar returns on the weekend of 13-14 July 2019.

With the takeover of the beautiful Milton Park on Saturday and music in pubs and clubs over the whole weekend, this year’s event is set to be the biggest ever in Alsager’s history.

Headlining the main stage on Saturday 13 July are local Pink Floyd tribute band, Floyd Machine. If that’s not your thing, The Th3rd Coming will be playing a mix of covers in the Sunken Garden or you can head over to the Concrete (dance) Stage by the skate park. [Read more…]

Alsager Gin & Beer Festival

Gin festivalThe organisers of Alsager’s Charity Gin and Beer Festival are pleased to announce that they will be holding this very successful event at the Alsager Cricket Ground on 5th, 6th and 7th July.

The festival is a key fund raiser for this local charity which only supports local causes. Alan Stancliffe, who is the key organiser, said, ‘The festival has been a resounding success these past two years and has allowed us to support a cardiac screening programme for younger people, the Community Support Centre, the Guides and disadvantaged young people among others. There are a number of other good causes we want to help in 2019 and I hope the event will be as well supported as in previous years.’

The festival will build on last year’s successful format with live music in the evenings, food available on Friday evening and on Saturday. [Read more…]

Family Fun Open Day

Tennis AnyoneOn Saturday 20th July from 1pm until 5pm, Alsager Tennis Club will be hosting a FAMILY FUN OPEN DAY.  Save the date, it’s free to attend and everyone is invited!

On the day the club will be offering taster coaching sessions, fun games, competitions and prizes for all the family, a raffle and more.  There will also be BBQ food, Ice-Cream on sale and a licensed bar.

It’s going to be a great fun day and an opportunity for visitors to come along and view the facilities, chat to the coaches and explore tennis.

The Club is located slightly off the beaten track, but you will find it located behind Fairview Carpark, opposite Highfields School… just follow the signs and balloons on the day and we will look forward to seeing lots of visitors from Alsager and the surrounding areas. Alsager Station Community Day

Station Community Days are an opportunity for our station teams to meet new members of the local community and to get lots of jobs done all in one day.  These include weeding, planting, painting and litter picking.  All equipment will be provided, but please bring clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.  No previous experience required! It’s Animal Safari time again!

Animal Safari 2016 copyHave you got your entry ready? Alsager Rotary, The Inner Wheel Club of Alsager and Tangent are running the Alsager Animal Safari and we need your help to make it a success.

The Safari is made up of two competitions, one for those entering an animal display, these can include pictures, models or a display of softs toys and the display needs to be suitably titled and the other competition is for those searching for the displays.
