Alsager Community Orchard

Orchard 2 low resAlsager Community Orchard is situated in Wood Park and was planted earlier this year by Friends of Wood Park.

Some of you will have seen the orchard at its best in late spring, when the wild flowers were blooming and the trees starting to bear fruit. One World 2019 ‘Climate Changes Everything – Now is the time to act’

one world 1One World 2019 returns to the village on Saturday 5th October at Alsager Civic from 9.30am-1pm.

The event will bring back the much loved ‘national stalls’, celebrating the cultural diversity within our Alsager community, and a range of free craft activities and workshops including the incredible story teller, Ian Douglas and ukulele and junk percussion workshops running throughout the morning. These are free of charge and open to all ages so bring the whole family along to join the fun.

We are really pleased to be joined on the day by the team from Two Doors Studio who will be sharing their artistic skills in a range of ways- why not make a Morsbag or have a try at a fused glass art piece? We will be adding to the Alsager bunting too!

We’ve had a fantastic response to our poetry competition. Many thanks to all those who have entered. Winners will be announced at the One World Festival where we will also have a poetry exhibition of all entries in the library.

There will be plentiful tea and coffee and some great home-made cakes, so get the date in your diary and join us for another great Alsager event.
