As Christmas is fast approaching, Alsager Partnership and Alsager Round Table will be bringing another fabulous evening of Christmas Markets to include a Light Switch On in the town.
Now in it’s eleventh year, organisers will bring a combination of Christmas festive fun and entertainment. Crewe Brass Band will get us in the festive spirit and will also play along to the fabulous firework display and lights switch-on. We have fair-ground rides, an array of street food, visitors can pick up unique gifts, alongside live music and entertainment. Signal Radio presenters are again partnering up to support this event, which is an annual highlight in Alsager’s calendar.
So be sure to save the date, this year’s Christmas Market & Light Switch On will take place on Sunday, 24th November, starting with the official opening at 4pm. The lights will be switched on at 6pm by Santa Clause and other guests.
Also note, that throughout the evening, be sure to visit the Alsager Civic, where there will be mulled wine and other beverages on sale at the open bar, an array of indoor market sellers and a tea/coffee sit down area.
In addition to the market stalls, many town centre shops will stay open late for shoppers on the hunt for Christmas gifts, and Vets4Pets will be hosting a variety of pet stalls for you to go and browse and the beautifully lit town Christmas Tree will be located on the lawns outside the Alsager Civic. This year’s tree has kindly been sponsored by Dutton Contractors, Builders Merchants and Traffic Management Services.
Please note, Lawton Road will be closed from 12 noon until midnight from Sainsbury’s on Crewe Road right through to Shady Grove. Brookhouse Road will also be closed and from the Cenotaph on Sandbach Road South to Bank Corner lights. This will allow for the markets and fairground rides to be set up and dismantled.
And finally, don’t miss the Christmas Tree Festival at Wesley Place Church on Lawton Road, which will be running from Friday 22nd November.
For an evening of festive fun for all the family, everyone is encouraged to head down to the town centre from 4pm. This huge community event is brought to you by Alsager Partnership, Alsager Round Table, Alsager Town Council, PME, Signal Radio and many volunteers.
