Don’t lose your voice – check you are registered to vote!
Local Councils are calling on people to act now – so they don’t lose their voice in upcoming elections.
And the message is: If you can’t vote, you haven’t got a voice.
If you are not registered, you could miss out on being able to vote in the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) election on May 5.
There will also be a national referendum on June 23, on whether or not the United Kingdom should remain in the European Union.
Polling cards have been posted to adult residents, if you have not received your polling card you should contact the Council to ensure you are registered to vote.

Halls Road Play Area plans on display
Staffordshire Moorlands District Council now has the proposed designs for the new play area at Halls Road Playing Field in Biddulph.
All residents of Biddulph are invited to come and have a look at the various options for the play equipment and have your say.
The plans will be on display at Biddulph Town Hall on Wednesday 16 March between midday and 6.45pm on Wednesday 16 March – come and have a look and make your comments.

Biddulph Neighbourhood Plan
Biddulph Town Council are taking advantage of a national scheme to give communities more say over how their neighbourhoods develop. The Town Council intend to prepare a Neighbourhood Development Plan for the Parish and have applied to Staffs Moorlands District Council to designate the whole of the parish as the Neighbourhood Plan Area. The District Council is seeking people’s views on the proposed Neighbourhood Areas – the first step towards preparation of a Neighbourhood Development Plan. [Read more…]
Plans to improve Biddulph Town Hall
Plans to improve the services provided at Biddulph Town Hall have been given the green light by district planners. Staffordshire Moorlands District Council’s planning committee have approved proposals to install a glazed extension at the building. The Council’s customer reception and self serve points will move to the new glazed foyer which will also provide improved accommodation for the police services which operate from the building ensuring they remain in the town hall.
