Funding Approved for Alsager Civic Refurbishment Scheme

alsager civic april 2014Alsager Town Council is set to progress with the planned refurbishment of Alsager Civic which will improve major elements of the building such as a New Heating System, Insulated Roof Recovery, New UPVC Double Glazing Windows, and Kitchen Upgrade, thanks to a £50,000 grant from funding body WREN.

The money, awarded by WREN’s FCC Community Action Fund, will be used to upgrade the Heating System which includes new automated energy efficient boilers, new energy efficient heat emitters, and associated plumbing and mechanical works. [Read more…]

Become a fire cadet at Alsager Fire Station

Three special ‘taster’ events are being held at Alsager Fire Station for young people aged between 12 and 17 years of age to unlock new skills and experience the exciting and unique opportunity to be part of Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Don’t lose your voice – check you are registered to vote!

voteLocal Councils are calling on people to act now – so they don’t lose their voice in upcoming elections.

And the message is: If you can’t vote, you haven’t got a voice.

If you are not registered, you could miss out on being able to vote in the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) election on May 5.

There will also be a national referendum on June 23, on whether or not the United Kingdom should remain in the European Union.

Polling cards have been posted to adult residents, if you have not received your polling card you should contact the Council to ensure you are registered to vote.
