Amy Wyatt, a 17 year old member at Alsager Bridgestone Amateur Swimming Club has recently taken part in a Relay Channel Swim on 2nd September 2017.
Amy says, “I have been swimming for as long as I can remember and have been a member of Alsager
Bridgestone for over 10 years. During this time I have swam competitively in numerous swimming galas, achieving both personal and team successes. The new operator for the West Midlands rail network has confirmed that the direct train service to London will continue to call at Alsager, Kidsgrove, and Stone stations.
There were concerns that the new operators, West Midland Trains, would change the route when they take over in December meaning passengers would have to change at Stafford to get to London but they have now confirmed that they are keeping the route. [Read more…]

Alsager Ladies Circle will be holding the annual One World Festival on October 14th at Alsager School between 10-1pm.
This free, hugely successful event has become a feature in Alsager over several years and our aim is to celebrate the diversity that exists in our community. Alsager Town Council is set to progress with the planned refurbishment of Alsager Civic which will improve major elements of the building such as a New Heating System, Insulated Roof Recovery, New UPVC Double Glazing Windows, and Kitchen Upgrade, thanks to a £50,000 grant from funding body WREN.
The money, awarded by WREN’s FCC Community Action Fund, will be used to upgrade the Heating System which includes new automated energy efficient boilers, new energy efficient heat emitters, and associated plumbing and mechanical works. [Read more…]
