Another serious accident at the dangerous Linley Road/Linley Lane junction has prompted concerned residents to set up a petition to get traffic lights installed as a matter of urgency.
Following numerous crashes and a fatality 17 years ago residents have been campaigning for safety measures such as a speed limit reduction or traffic lights at this accident hot spot. The Highway Authority had scheduled the installation of signals for March last year (2017) but deferred the date to March this year blaming sub contractors for the delay. As yet no work has been done and is believed to be scheduled to start this summer.
