Newcastle Borough Council are hosting their budget consultation at Kidsgrove Town Hall tonight (Wednesday 23rd October) at Kidsgrove Town Hall, 7pm.
Residents will have a chance to question senior politicians face-to-face at this meeting and have their say on how public money should be spent in Newcastle-under-Lyme in future.
Cllr. Mike Stubbs, Deputy Leader of the Council and Cabinet member for finance and resources, said: “We now have to take a long hard look at what services we continue to provide and for that reason it is important local people come along and talk to us so they can make their views known.”
With the six week consultation process now just over the half way stage, more than 150 people have already filled in questionnaires asking for their views on where the borough council should concentrate on maintaining services.
As well as attending the public meetings, residents can also go online to fill in the budget consultation questionnaire on the council’s website www.newcastle-staffs.gov.uk
