Last Post for Kidsgrove?
Kidsgrove Post Office has been temporarily closed since 25th February 2025, due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’ with no replacement branch identified.
The Post Office have stated they are working to minimize the closure period and are exploring options to reinstate services, but no specific reopening date has been confirmed. They said “We are working hard to keep any period of closure to a minimum and we are currently investigating the options available which will enable us to reinstate a Post Office service to the local community.”
A response to a recent request for an approximate date for the reopening was “we have no updates regarding when the branch will reopen”, which has led to speculation that Kidsgrove may be left without a Post Office indefinitely.
In the interim, alternative branches are available at Butt Lane and Tunstall.
