The Post Office are now calling on applicants to run a post office franchise in Kidsgrove.
Kidsgrove Post Office has been temporarily closed since 25th February 2025, due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’. No replacement branch has been identified and now the Post Office are advertising for interested parties to take up the franchise.

They are looking for a successful retailer to incorporate a Post Office Local into their existing or proposed business integrating Post Office services into a vibrant and sustainable retail business, so they can be offered over the same opening hours. The exact layout and design would be agreed with successful applicant to suit their business..
Closing date for applications is 18th June 2026 though it is stated that the advert may close early if sufficient interest is registered.
