Kidsgrove Christmas Shopping Challenge

christmas_bauble_608346Kidsgrove shoppers and their families are invited to take part in the second ‘Kidsgrove Christmas Shopping Challenge’ taking place in the run up to Christmas. It will again be launched at the Victorian Market in Kidsgrove Town Hall on 29th November and will run to 23rd December. The challenge is simple – shoppers have a map, which they can pick up from the library or participating shops, with the name and location of all other participating retailers. Families visit 10 of the shops listed and collect bauble stickers which they use to a decorate a Christmas tree picture on the map. When they’ve filled their tree (10 stickers needed), they can swap it for a chocolate treat and a certificate which they collect from the library, there is no purchase needed. Participating shops include – KIDSGROVE: Smithson’s of Kidsgrove, A Potter Tea, Lula Bop, Skin n Tonic, Shaky Bean Cafe, SW Cotton Opticians, Bee Jay Discounts, British Red Cross, General Traffic, Daisy Chain, Three Cooks, Becky’s Flower Shop, The Hair Team (Kidsgrove), The Archway, Razor’s Edge, Kidsgrove Library. BUTT LANE: Potteries Domestics, Kard Sharp, Butt Lane Pharmacy, The Hair Team (Butt Lane), The Beauty Spot, Pets & Pastimes. The Kidsgrove Christmas Shopping Challenge will be a very family focused event, having a positive social and economic impact by creating a sense of fun, excitement, some competition, and a community spirit. By supporting independent retailers you are helping ensure our town centre has a chance of survival. Shoppers are being encouraged to spend a small proportion of their Christmas budget – be that on gift and food shopping, partying or pampering – with local, independent businesses. You can help YOUR TOWN by taking part in the Kidsgrove Christmas Shopping Challenge.
