Hilda Sheldon chair of Biddulph in Bloom said;
“We were delighted to receive a Gold Award from the RHS National in Bloom, in the Large Town Category.
We were also delighted to be the Overall Winner in the Category receiving Gold in all areas that you are judged on these being; Horticulture, Community and Environment. We were the only Large Town to achieve the necessary marks for Gold in each of these areas.
We would like to extend our thanks to the other community groups that helped us to achieve this outstanding result! Our thanks go to all of the volunteers who work so hard all year round to present Biddulph to its best. We would like to thank the community who remain so supportive of our aims and objectives and for the encouragement and support that they give. We would like to thank Biddulph Town Council for their Grant, Aid and Assistance. Also, Staffordshire Moorlands District Council for this too. We would also like to thank Newcastle Borough Council for their guidance and help.
Young people played an enormous part in our entry and we wish to thank them also.”
