Dougie Mac banks on Biddulph for its 20th charity shop

Local hospice Dougie Mac has opened a brand new charity shop in Biddulph town centre.

The former NatWest Bank on the High Street opened its doors to shoppers for the first time on Thursday 16th September offering good quality clothing, shoes, accessories and bric-a-brac, at very affordable prices.

Liz Clarke, Head of Retail at Dougie Mac, said, “We’re so glad to be back in Biddulph town centre, in a great new location right on the High Street, and it’s a double celebration for us as this will be Dougie Mac’s 20th charity shop in the local area.

“The shop is looking great and I’m so proud of our team of staff and volunteers. Our previous shop in Biddulph was always so well supported by the local community and we can’t wait to welcome back local shoppers and supporters of Dougie Mac.”

As well as offering a wide selection of items for sale, there’s also an easy access donation point for supporters looking to donate their good quality, unwanted items.

Each year the charity’s retail network contributes more than £3 million of income to help pay for the hospice’s specialist care services.

Liz added, Our shops play a hugely important role in the financial strength of Dougie Mac, and it’s the support of the local community that makes this possible. So whether you’re shopping for a bargain or donating your unwanted items to us, we’re relying on your support the make our Biddulph shop a success and we can’t wait to welcome you through our doors.”

Dougie Mac’s Biddulph shop is located at 63 High Street, ST8 6AA.
