Clough Hall Park refurbishment

Works to develop a new play area and create more amenity space in Clough Hall Park are due to start.

The Clough Hall Park refurbishment project is part of ongoing efforts by Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council to enhance this community space. The vision is to replace underused features with more accessible open green space and modern amenities suitable for the local community.

This works include transforming the former unused bowling greens and tennis court area by removing them, regrading and reseeding the land to create more accessible open green space, refurbishing one of the existing sports courts, and installing a new toddler play area. This initiative also includes reinstalling existing ball walls to enhance recreational offerings.

The refurbishment follows the work to upgrade the tennis courts in the park for free public which was completed last summer. The courts have undergone extensive work to ensure viability for years to come, including resurfacing, repainting, new fencing, new nets and a new gate system.

The improvements are part of a broader vision to modernize and enhance the park to provide good quality sporting and recreational facilities for residents to encourage people to stay healthy and active.
