One World 2019 returns to the village on Saturday 5^th October at Alsager Civic from 9.30am-1pm.

The event will bring back the much loved ‘national stalls’, celebrating the cultural diversity within our Alsager community, and a range of free craft activities and workshops including the incredible story teller, Ian Douglas and ukulele and junk percussion workshops running throughout the morning. These are free of charge and open to all ages so bring the whole family along to join the fun.

We are really pleased to be joined on the day by the team from Two Doors Studio who will be sharing their artistic skills in a range of ways- why not make a Morsbag or have a try at a fused glass art piece? We will be adding to the Alsager bunting too!

We’ve had a fantastic response to our poetry competition. Many thanks to all those who have entered. Winners will be announced at the One World Festival where we will also have a poetry exhibition of all entries in the library.

There will be plentiful tea and coffee and some great home-made cakes, so get the date in your diary and join us for another great Alsager event.

On Sunday 8^th September, Alsager will once more be transformed into a little Italy with the town’s annual line-up of fabulous food, family fun, Italian supercars and scooters alongside live entertainment, competitions and more… bringing a little taste of Italy to Cheshire East.

To give you a flavour of what to expect… there will be an array of Italian food sellers from pizza to gnocchi to arancini, panini, olives, oils and wine and much more, with live music/entertainment, Italian supercars & scooters on display, fairground rides, balloon twisting, stilt walkers and street entertainers… and once again there will be fabulous live on stage cookery demonstrations [Read more…]

Hassall Green Nature Reserve will be open to all from 10am-4pm on Saturday 10^th August, as we run exciting nature-based activities and launch The Land Trust’s FREE Green Angels training programme.

National land management charity the Land Trust is bringing its award-winning and free Green Angels environmental training courses to adults across South Cheshire and North Staffordshire, giving them the chance to gain practical skills through hands-on learning. [Read more…]

On Saturday 13^th July, the Alsager Swans Swimming Therapy Club celebrated its 40^th birthday by holding a party for members past and present at Church Lawton Memorial Hall.

The most looked forward to event in the local calendar returns on the weekend of 13-14 July 2019.

With the takeover of the beautiful Milton Park on Saturday and music in pubs and clubs over the whole weekend, this year’s event is set to be the biggest ever in Alsager’s history.

Headlining the main stage on Saturday 13 July are local Pink Floyd tribute band, Floyd Machine. If that’s not your thing, The Th3rd Coming will be playing a mix of covers in the Sunken Garden or you can head over to the Concrete (dance) Stage by the skate park. [Read more…]
