The police in Biddulph could be relocating to Princess Street after declaring their current position in the Town Hall as not fit for purpose.
The new location under consideration is next to the Fire Station and if ambulance crews can be encouraged to work from the same site all three emergency service would be located together.
Now Staffordshire Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Ellis, is looking at the plans to make sure they are viable and economically sound.
Any plans to move to a new station will be put out to public consultation and while residents have backed the plans for the move there are some concerns that the police moving out of the town hall could have an adverse effect on the building.
