Play areas in Biddulph are to get £180,000 to update and improve over the next 4 years.
The money comes from Staffordshire Moorlands District Council as part of their Play and Outdoor Sports Facilities Investment Plan.
The play areas that will benefit are Church Road play area, which will receive a total of £110,000, and Biddulph Valley Park play area which will receive £70,000.
At Church Road £60,000 will be spent on repair and redesign work with play opportunities for lower age groups being enhanced and items for junior age groups benefitting from improving underfoot conditions. These improvements are expected to be delivered by 2023. A further £50,000 will be spent at Church Road on the multi games use area by 2024.
Biddulph Valley Park play area, which suffered a recent arson attack which destroyed the main climbing unit, will recieve £70,000 for a replacement, to be delivered by 2025.
