Biddulph Festival 2026

Biddulph Festival kicks off on Saturday 13th June until 12th August 2026. An extended month of entertainment, fun & enjoyment….something for all.

This years theme is ‘Reading’ to celebrate the National Year of Reading. The launch day begins with a café in the Town Hall at 10am. The festival launch parade is on Saturday 4th July at 11am, with entertainment at the front of the Town Hall. Children and adults from local schools and community groups will transition into book characters and take part in the procession through the town centre. Expect to see various different literary characters bringing Biddulph to life.

Work on new enterprise units set to start

Three new enterprise units are to be built on Meadows Road car park

Signs giving notice that the Meadows Road car park will no longer be in use from 12 May 2026 have been posted at the site. Work on building three new enterprise units on part of the car park is expected to start imminently. 

The new enterprise units will comprise 29 sqm / 312 sq. ft of active floor space and staff kitchen and toilet facilities. The existing car park is to be reconfigured to create approximately 18 parking spaces, three of these will be reserved for the users of the small business units. 

Original proposals for the site were for a shared services hub, a £6.5 million plan intended to provide a modern “one-stop shop” for public services, but were scrapped after partner organizations withdrew from the project, rendering it “untenable.”

By Royal Appointment

Nicola Burndred was invited to attend the King’s Garden Party on May 12th 2026 in recognition for her outstanding charity work raising funds for The Jordan Burndred Memorial Fund to arrange heart screening sessions in Biddulph for Cardiac Risk in the Young. 

On their 13th screening day in February in memory of her son Jordan Burndred, Nicola was invited to attend the Biddulph Town Council awards to receive the Outstanding Contribution to the Community award in recognition for raising over £100,000 for heart screening sessions in Jordan’s memory. The Community award was presented by the Lieutenant of Staffordshire who then nominated Nicola to attend the King’s Garden Party to acknowledge her tireless work following personal loss, organizing fundraising and testing sessions, educating communities, raising awareness, and potentially saving lives through quiet conviction, dignity, and determination.

Alsager Carnival 2026

This year’s Alsager Carnival will be held on Saturday, 6th June 2026 with the theme “Our World”. 

Organised by Alsager Round Table, the annual community parade features floats, local, groups, and businesses, starting from Fairview car park and proceeding to Milton Park for afternoon entertainment.

Date: Saturday, June 6, 2026.

Theme: “Our World”.

Parade: Starts at 12 noon, featuring walking and vehicle floats from local community groups and businesses.

Afternoon Activities: Fun and entertainment usually follow in Milton Park from 1 pm.

Alsager Music Festival

Alsager Music Festival is on 11th July with music from 12 until 9pm in Milton Park. 

If you’ve never been before, you can expect amazing music over 4 stages, plenty of food and drink stalls, a packed field and a brilliant day out. The event is very popular in Alsager and the surrounding area and we sold out of tickets last year.

Once again, we’ve lined up some fabulous musical talent! Starting off your day on Stath’s Stage with some incredible youthful talent from the Teacher’s Pet Rock Show, followed by the wonderful Greg Murray and the Seven Wonders. Sit back and enjoy some quality Americana from Fine Lines and some Blues from Stoney and the Dogs and finally shake those hips to funk and soul from Brand New Bag and Raj Mahal and the Beatroots and get skanking to Pressure Drop.
