A Kidsgrove computer refurbishment company that resurrected the ICL name has won £155,000 of project funding which will create five new jobs in the town.
The re-used equipment is sold locally – allowing low income groups access to affordable computing and on-line resources and in partnership with local businesses and schools low cost ICT suites have been supplied and installed.
Local schools also benefit from having a reliable partner for the repair and disposal of their end of life electronic equipment.
The project funding support will provide the confidence and be a spring board to allow the business to greatly accelerate its investment plans to develop the existing business, diversification into additional product/service areas and supporting growth.
