Jobs fair a hit in Biddulph

karen_jobs_fairKaren Bradley was delighted to host her third jobs and skills fair, and the second to be held in Biddulph, at Victoria Hall in the Methodist Church on Friday 4th April.

She said:

“It was great to get so many organisations who have jobs on offer or can help people find work together in one room for job seekers in Biddulph to talk to.  We have very low unemployment in the Moorlands, but I am always looking for practical ways to help people who need jobs, so it was great to see people coming to get advice or swap details with potential employers at the Jobs Fair.”

The Jobs and Skills Fair brought together jobs clubs and agencies that know about other vacancies, training providers and groups that help people to change career or set up their own business.

Karen added:

“I was very pleased to see organisations like Support Staffordshire helping people with writing their CV and to see colleges and training providers advising on apprenticeships.  We had scores of visitors and I am sure the jobs fair will help to keep unemployment down in our area.”
