Darts World Record Attempt

We_Are_MacMillanRed CrossDarts World Record Attempt 12th February – 14th February Starting on Friday 12th February at Radway Club brothers Gary and Paul Pickford will start playing against Adam Dickinson and Mark Weaver in an attempt to break the Guinness Book World Record for the Longest Game of Pairs Darts which currently stands at 48 hours. The event will be filmed,sent to the Guinness Book of Records headquarters and once verified will be recognised as an official world record. Gary is a teacher at St Peter’s Academy in Fenton, Paul is a Sales Director with Jennings Seats in Crewe and both Adam and Mark are managers of Co-op Supermarkets in the area. Gary is also the Club Captain at Wychwood Park Golf Club and his chosen captain’s charity is MacMillan Cancer Support whose ambition is to improve the lives of everyone living with cancer. Adam’s and Mark’s chosen charity is the British Red Cross which helps thousands of people to fight loneliness by providing support and care at home. After the World Record attempt and the Tournaments have finished about 5.00 pm there will be an exhibition match involving a world ranked PDC Professional player. There will also be a chance for 10 lucky people to play against the Professional with a cash prize for the best performance. This session will be hosted by Radio Stoke’s Sports Editor Graham McGarry.
