The team at Alsager Vet Centre, part of the independently owned Willows Veterinary Group, are organising the show on Sunday July 3 from 11 am to 4 pm. It is the third time they have put together such an event.

It will take place in the field by The Plough Inn opposite Alsager Vet Centre in The Point, Crewe Road.

Classes will include; Prettiest bitch, most handsome dog, best rescue, waggiest tail, best veteran over seven years old, best trick or command, junior handler and dog who looks most like their owner.

All the proceeds from the event will go towards Whippet Rescue UK based in Sandbach.

Gill White, Head Vet at Alsager Vet Centre, said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming different dogs of all breeds and personalities at our charity dog show.

“Having recently taken over as Branch Partner at Alsager Vet Centre at the beginning of 2016, this is my first year of running the dog show and it will be interesting to meet our four-legged entrants and their owners from all over our community.

“It is also terrific for us to raise money for Whippet Rescue UK at the same time which does such terrific work with dogs who really need their help.”

Alsager Vet Centre was opened in February 2012 and is equipped with state of the art equipment to look after all sorts of small animals.

It is part of the independently- owned Willows Veterinary Group.

The group offers a wealth of knowledge and expertise through 24 small animal practices, a referral veterinary hospital, two equine centres and a five-office farm practice which are located across Cheshire and into the Wirral and Staffordshire. Willows is accredited by The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
