Alsager Gin & Beer Festival

Gin festivalThe organisers of Alsager’s Charity Gin and Beer Festival are pleased to announce that they will be holding this very successful event at the Alsager Cricket Ground on 5th, 6th and 7th July.

The festival is a key fund raiser for this local charity which only supports local causes. Alan Stancliffe, who is the key organiser, said, ‘The festival has been a resounding success these past two years and has allowed us to support a cardiac screening programme for younger people, the Community Support Centre, the Guides and disadvantaged young people among others. There are a number of other good causes we want to help in 2019 and I hope the event will be as well supported as in previous years.’

The festival will build on last year’s successful format with live music in the evenings, food available on Friday evening and on Saturday. The event has been timed so that there is a cricket fixture for patrons to enjoy on Saturday afternoon. 20 beers and 2 ciders will be available to sample along with a range of popular gins and mixers.

David Black, one of the organisers, said, ‘This is a fun event that has been greatly enjoyed by everyone who has come along. We intend to keep it that way by banning any mention of the EU and the ‘B word’! Unless of course you want a pint of Butty Bach! For those who don’t know, butty bach is Welsh for little friend. Why not come along and buy your friend a Butty Bach?’

The organisers are grateful to their sponsors who have contributed hugely to the success of the event. More sponsors are sought this year. If you can help please email David: Alsager.Charity.BeerGin.Fest@gmail.com
